A certain Kaiser Dabalos posted pictures of the flower and lauded the president for not putting the title "President" before his name. It simply bears "Rodrigo Roa Duterte." The photos went extremely viral as netizens expressed admiration over how Duterte stayed humble amid assuming the highest position in the country.

It can be recalled earlier that Duterte asked the cabinet secretaries to stop using "His Excellency" in addressing him. According to him, as he stated in many interviews, he prefers to be called "Mayor" as he is still not used to the title "President" and he felt overwhelmed by it.
