Senator Leila De Lima boldly told the public that she is willing to be shot if the President can prove his allegations that she is involved with the drug lords of the New Bilibid Prison and that she used the money they gave to fund her senate campaign.

"I am willing to resign, I am willing to be shot in front of the President. I just have to qualify true evidence, not coerced, manufactured, fabricated, invented," she told reporters. "I am confident to prove him wrong. I will stand by my innocence, any time now and forever."

Despite De Lima's strong conviction to prove her innocence, many are still sceptical after former President Benigno Aquino III used the same trick before, in saying he is willing to be ran over by a train if he fails to fulfill his promise.

"At pag hindi ho nangyari ito, nandyan ho si  Secretary Abaya na nangangasiwa ng proyektong ito, dalawa na kaming magpapasagasa siguro sa train," Aquino once said with regards to his promise of building an extension on the LRT line 1 connecting Baclaran to Bacoor.
The public who heard her words are surely waiting for the outcome of the juicy word war between her and Duterte.
