It can be recalled that President Duterte has a slight rift with Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno as they exchanged words of argument recently. Sereno questioned the name shaming of drug suspects. This compelled the president to rebut. But after a while, President Duterte publicly apologized to her.
This impressed Senator JV Ejercito who was touched by the humility of the country's highest government personality.
“Pres. Duterte humble enough to apologize to CJ Sereno after realizing his mistake. Better than having a leader who thinks he is always right,” Ejercito posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, Sereno accepted the apology of the President but do not want to further comment about the issue.
