The PNP Chief Director Ronald 'Bato Dela Rosa express his disappointment towards the suggestion that the police officers who failed to solve the vigilante killings of the drug personalities must be relieved from their duties.
When he was asked by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on why are the officials who are unable to solve the extra-judicial killing are still in their posts, Bato said, "Sana mag-order na si Presidente Duterte na itigil na ito [war on drugs]. Kami pagod na pagod na sa trabaho na ito. Sobrang pagod namin gusto ko na ihinto ito, ayoko na. Sana magsabi ang Presidente."
All the vigilante style killings are classified as the 'death under investigation' cases.
The PNP Chief then said that it is unfair to relieve those officials.
Meanwhile, Trillanes clarified that he does not want the administration of Duterte to stop the war against drugs but he wanted to know why the small-time suspects are targeted by the vigilante-style killings.
He also pointed out why the businessman and alleged drug lord Peter Lim can still walk free and the Leyte, Mayor Ronald Espinosa Sr., who is being linked with the illegal drugs and returned to his position.
