The House of Representatives have summoned five witnesses, including Sen. Leila de Lima’s alleged driver-lover Ronnie Dayan and convicted kidnapper Jaybee Sebastian, to the resumption of the hearing on the drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison.
On the other hand, the negations on the showing of De Lima’s alleged sex video have intensified, coming especially from women’s rights advocates and Vice President Robredo herself.

However, President Rodrigo Duterte chose not to get his hands on the matter. “It’s not his territory,” said presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella.
Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said that the Congress won’t be forcing Sebastian to attend the hearing if his doctors would advise him not to. He sustained stab wounds during the riot that ensued inside the penitentiary on Wednesday.

The inquiry would go on despite Sebastian’s absence, according to Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali, who is spearheading the probe on the Bilibid, since other inmates have already signed their affidavits.
“It’s alright because anyway, according to Secretary Aguirre, we don’t need his testimony anymore to file a case against De Lima because Sebastian said he would just reveal information about a catering anomaly,” said Rep. Robert Ace Barbers of Surigao del Norte.

Several of the inmate-witnesses have testified that Dayan has received P10 million, which was delivered to De Lima’s residence by former National Bureau of Investigation deputy director Rafael Ragos and NBI agent Jovencio Ablen Jr.
